Computer speakers and soundbars
Computer speakers sound far better than built-in laptop speakers for video calls, films and music at your desk. A pair of desktop speakers or a compact sound bar under the monitor are popular choices. For a TV, a soundbar makes dialogue clearer without taking up space. Check the connection (USB, 3.5 mm, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC or optical for TVs), the size for your desk and whether the volume knob is easy to reach. USB-powered speakers are convenient for laptops but are usually quieter than ones with their own power supply.
